LLM: Master in Laws
Course
Details
Start at any time. There are no start dates and no classes to attend. The course is a home study programme that is delivered by CD and e-mail attachments.
This one year distance learning LLM
programme available through our law school is
purely a Law Research Programme and is open to
students holding a law degree. There are no taught
law modules (except where a student holds a degree that is not a law
degree or where a student wants to under take specifically a Master in International Refugee Laws ).
If a student does not hold a degree
in law (or equivalent level) but has a degree in
another discipline then a compulsory taught law
module will be included in the LLM
programme. Depending on the degree held the content
of the compulsory law module will encompass some or
all of the 10 Units taught in Assessment
1.
Once enrolled, a student undertaking a LLM
will receive a 60 page manual on writing a research based dissertation in
line with the awarding university's dissertation requirements.
The LLM programme will be completed by way
of submitting a Dissertation, of not less than 20,000

This means
students, in which ever country they may reside in, can
take this one year LLM degree programme by distance
learning.
Note: A
student can take longer than 1
year to finish but cannot take less than 12 months.
